R.O.O.F. COMMUNITY NEWS

In March, R.O.O.F. received a “shot in the arm” when a local family made an anonymous $10,000 grant.

Since R.O.O.F. grants 100% of donations, and the average grant is $2500, this one act can potentially help R.O.O.F. provide grants to four deserving organizations in the East Bay communities we serve!

Red Oak Realty established R.O.O.F. in 1985 for the purpose of supporting local homeless, educational, and other organizations whose focus is helping residents of the communities Red Oak serves.

The goal of R.O.O.F. is to assist smaller local charitable organizations which do not receive significant funding from other sources, in order to make a significant and observable contribution to the aims and objectives of that organization.

Contributions to R.O.O.F. come from Red Oak Realty agents, matching grants from the company, staff, clients, business associates, and friends. R.O.O.F. is a 501c(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. All donations to R.O.O.F. are tax deductible. All administrative costs for R.O.O.F. are paid by Red Oak Realty, so 100% of all donations goes to the grant recipients.

Since 1985, thanks to the generosity of the R.O.O.F. community, R.O.O.F. has distributed grants totaling more than $550,000. In 2006 and 2007 alone, R.O.O.F. granted nearly $200,000 to worthy organizations, enabling them to make a real difference in the lives of many East Bay residents. Please see the list of current grant recipients.

Grants are determined by a revolving committee of owners and agents of Red Oak Realty. The grants range from $500 to $5,000.
